What Is ARA-290? ARA-290, also known by its International Nonproprietary Name cibinetide, is an 11-amino-acid linear synthetic peptide derived from the three-dimensional structure of erythropoietin (EPO). Specifically, it is modelled from the helix-B surface region of the EPO molecule — the domain responsible for tissue-protective signalling.
