MT-2 (Melanotan-2): A Research Overview
MT-2 (Melanotan-2) is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). First synthesised at the University of Arizona in the late 1980s by Victor J. Hruby and Mac Hadley, MT-2 was developed to produce a more stable, potent version of the naturally occurring melanocortin peptide. It has since become one of the most extensively studied synthetic melanocortin agonists in preclinical research. All Peptidex MT-2 is supplied as research-grade lyophilised powder
